Humming birds

"A few days ago, my gardener and I found a hummingbird's nest on a fallen branch on the ground under some brush after a rainstorm. No mom, just two new-born chicks," writes Your Shot photographer J. Katz. "We went on-line and called the vet to find out what to do. After following her instruction, I stepped away and sat at a distance. After about one hour the mother returned. I have been observing them from a distance ever since. I finally captured her feeding one of them. So excited that they survived! I feel like a step-mom."
